Saturday, we picked up Daddy from the airport (he had been in DC) and headed out just south of Fredricksburg to do some strawberry pickin'! We did this for the first time last year when my mom was here and had such a great time that this time we decided to invite Daddy. It's such a fun, wholesome activity and you get to bring home AMAZING strawberries!! They haven't had as much luck this year with their crop, so it was a little more like an easter egg hunt to find the best ones - last year there were so many that you couldn't pick them all. It's really hard to stop picking - you just want to keep searching and finding the good ones. After every one that Annabelle picked, she would say, "I found the perfect one!" We came home with about 3.5 pounds and we had a lot of those eaten before we got home! After we were done, we headed into Fredricksburg to eat at my favorite Italian restaurant - Pasta Bella - it is soooo good! After a little shopping, we headed home and turned in early. We were all exhausted from our busy week. But we had such a great time and hope to go back in June when they have peaches and tomatoes ready.
